Ruppertsberger Hoheburg

The Hoheburg was already designated as a Große Lage in the Royal Bavarian Site Classification of 1828. Compared to our other Große Lage of the Mittelhaardt, the Hoheburg is cooler and has higher rainfall. Wines from Hoheburg show themselves delicately and elegantly, yet full of expression, with a fine acidity.

The light soil of weathered red sandstone paired with its southern exposure is the ideal combination for a great Riesling.
